Safeguarding @ Waldy Wheelers

Waldy Wheelers is an adult cycling club, committed to ensure that everyone involved can thrive and flourish in a safe environment. All club members have a part to play in contributing to the club meeting its overall duty of care, being aware of our club’s safeguarding procedures, and knowing what to do if they have concerns.

We recognise that as a small club, run by volunteers, our capability to maintain policies regarding the complex requirements for safeguarding of vulnerable adults are limited. As such, we will refer to, and aim to comply with, the British Cycling safeguarding and protecting vulnerable adults policy in response to any question or event relating to interactions with vulnerable adults.

If a member has a concern, they should contact the Health & Safety / Welfare Officer Ted Fraser who will follow up.
