RIDES
Club members meet at 08:00 every Sunday morning in the Diana Fountain Car Park in Bushy Park for our regular rides.
We try and run road rides each week of varying lengths, and sometimes a "gravel" ride too. So everyone knows what to expect, we split our rides into four categories, based on an expected average speed, as summarised below:

-
W1 - Flat: <24kph, Hilly: <22 kph. Suitable for all riders. The pace will be gentle. Any ability of rider will be happy on these rides and the chat will be flowing.
-
W2 - Flat: 24-26kph, Hilly: 22-24 kph. For those trying to build their fitness, or for stronger riders who fancy an easy turn of the wheels. No rider should expect to be hanging off the back gasping for air, but be ready to have times when you need to push yourself.
-
W3 - Flat: 26-28kph, Hilly: 24-26 kph. The strongest riders will cruise round these rides and developing riders will push themselves. Expect a consistent workout throughout.
-
W4 - Flat: 29-33kph, Hilly: 27-31 kph. If you are looking to push yourself. Expect chat to be limited during the ride. But still no drop, so if anyone is struggling the group will slow down.
-
W5 - Flat: 34kph + , Hilly: 32 kph +. Race training pace. It will be tough. But that’s what you’re here for, right ?
Women's Rides

We also run regular women only rides for ladies with a road bike who have a reasonable level of fitness, but no previous club cycling experience is required.
In addition to our Sunday rides, members often arrange informal mid-week rides and these are usually posted on our Facebook page or advertised through our What's App group.
You are responsible for your own safety, and that of your bicycle. You must ensure that your bicycle is safe and roadworthy, with gears and brakes in full working orders, tyres pumped up and checked, and that your helmet is properly fitting and not damaged. Please note that each rider should carry inner tube(s), tyre levers, pump and a mobile phone as well a drink and food (energy bars, gels). Helmets are compulsory for our club rides.
We do require members to take out membership of British Cycling for personal insurance purposes and wear club kit to help promote the club.
