Waldy Annual Awards Dinner - 02/12/22

Sixty Waldys gathered at The Railway in Teddington to celebrate an amazing 2022 of cycling.

With Gary as Master of Ceremonies, we knew we were in for a great evening.

ree

Chairman Fred recapped some highlights of the year - clearly too many for Pat !

ree

Then, on to the awards ! With 45 out of a possible 48 rides, Simon pipped "Badass" Clive to first place in the Club Rider contest...

ree

After 11 months of varied challenges, Tom took first place in the Waldy Challenge for the men,

ree

And Liz took the women's prize, after a closely contested battle with Alex.

ree

Most Improved Rider went to Anne for the women,

ree

And prize number two for Tom as he picked up Most Improved Rider for the men !

ree

David won an Outstanding Achievement award for his LeJog earlier in the year,

ree

And while she was not there in person to collect (thanks Fred !), Mei-Ling also picked up an Outstanding Achievement award for an amazing double of Ride London and London Marathon.

ree

(She did get the award later ✅)

ree

Finally, after some secret squirreling from the committee, Gary was left speachless (an almost unheard of event) as he collected his Outstanding Contribution award for all his hard work as Social Secretary.

ree

Thanks all for coming, we're looking forward to 2023 and already planning an exciting set of challenges to keep us all on our bikes.

Merry Christmas !
